sixth form scholarships (Entry September 2026)

Sport scholarships

Sport Scholarships are offered to students demonstrating excellence and potential in their nominated sports. Students follow a carefully balanced multi-sport programme and this is reflected in the scholarship process. Sports Scholars at Gordon’s School will be a part of the Good to Great programme which aims to enhance the development of athletes potential through a programme designed specifically for the individual.

Please note, scholarships are more of a kudos at Gordon's rather than a monetary award. (Approximate award value £250 per year)
Scholarships are not ranked any higher in our over-subscription Criteria, therefore they are still subject to distance from the school along with other applicants.

Scholarship Applications must be submitted by 12 noon on 14th November 2025 
Sport Scholarship applicants will automatically be invited to the assessment session for their sport  on the below date :-
 
Mon 24th November 2025 - 4.30pm - 6.30pm  - Harlequins Rugby 2nd assessment (see below regarding the HPP)
Tue 25th November 2025 - 4.30pm - 6.30pm  - Cricket / Golf
Wed 26th November 2025 - 4.30pm - 6.30pm - Girls Rugby 7's
Thu 27th November 2025 - 4.30pm - 6.30pm - Football (Boys & Girls)
Mon 1st December 2025 - 4.30pm - 6.30pm Netball / Hockey (Girls only)
 
Following the assessments, shortlisted students will be invited to a scholarship interview in person, to be held in January 2026.

CREATIVE ARTS Scholarships

 
Creative Arts Scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate outstanding
ability in a musical instrument/ singing/ Art or Drama. The successful student will
join the Good to Great programme, that ensures students get the ‘balance’ needed
to remain successful in their academic studies whilst being able to enjoy the wider
opportunities that the Good to Great programme offers outside the curriculum.

Pipes and drums Scholarships
 

Pipes and Drums Scholarships are offered to students demonstrating exceptional ability on the bagpipes. Successful students will receive up to three hours of tuition every week either from representatives of the National Piping Centre or Gordon's Senior Pipe Major. In addition they may take part in Masterclasses. Gordon's is partnered with The Force, which delivers the Drum Major aspect of the Pipes and Drums Scholarship.
