Croydon High Model United Nations
On Saturday 18th November, Gordon's School Model United Nations team travelled to Croydon High School to take part in their annual MUN competition. Debating topics such as the question of population growth in Asia and the question of juvenile delinquents, the 10 students involved truly lived out the attributes needed for success at this level: a precise attention to detail, a secure grasp of rhetoric and an ability to work collaboratively.
The day was a mixture of pre-prepared debate topics and a crisis situation, which centred around the deliberate spread of a lethal virus, which posed a global threat. Gordon's was proud to be the only non-selective state school present at the day and even more proud of Artur Nunes (Y12) and Alex Duke (Y13) who were each awarded the honour of 'highly commended delegate'.
