Congratulations to the U16 Rugby 7’s team that won the Middlesex tournament at Orleans Park on Saturday 28th February 2015.

 

After a slow start drawing the first pool game against a large and very direct Gunnersbury side, the team got into their stride with comprehensive victories over UCS to win the pool and Orleans Park in the cup semi-final. The quality of the 7’s was outstanding at times with Tom Wood leading the defensive line and Cameron McDonald and Alex Gooch a constant threat in attack.

 

The final saw Gordon’s play Gunnersbury again, but the result and the performance were completely different. Gordon’s dominated from the first minute and won convincingly. 

 

The player of the tournament was Alex Gooch scoring 12 tries, but team work in 7’s is vital and the team showed this in attack and defence. The victory was a complete squad effort and congratulations go to:
