First Aid
First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person with either a minor or serious illness or injury. Care is provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and to promote recovery. The importance of first aid is hard to overestimate.
This six week course will introduce the student to basic principles of first aid including treating the unconscious casualty; bleeding; choking; seizure; burns; CPR and using a defibrillator and much more. Being able to help in an emergency is a vital life skill and might just help you to save a close friend, family member or colleague.
On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Gordon’s School First Aid Certificate - something you can add to your CV to help you to stand out from the crowd.
