Cricket has progressed over the last ten years, both in terms of playing ability and facilities. Players are able to train and play at some of the best facilities in the county, using the on-site winter indoor nets at School and Valley End CCs.
The school competes in District and County fixtures, as well as traditional fixtures on Saturday mornings. The fixture list includes Harrow, St George’s, Weybridge and Whitgift.
Cricket is played in the Summer however there are Winter nets available from January. Students train within their PE lessons and in the extended Period 7. Boys in Years 7, 8 and 9 represent either the A or B teams in each year group and for girls in Years 7, 8 and 9 there are A, B and C teams. Girls in Year 10 can play for either the A or B team. This year marks the start of the 1st XI Girls' side, all of whom started their cricket journey in Year 7 at Gordon's.
