Athletics
Athletics is one of the main Summer sports at Gordon’s School.
Teams represent at local, district and national level, with some of our teams advancing through several rounds of the English Schools' Athletic Competition.

Recent Successes
In 2024, Gordon's Year 9 girls' team won the KS3 District Athletics competition, in addition to this, the Year 9 boys and Year 7 girls finished second in their competitions. In the KS4 competition, the Year 10/11 boys finished second and the girls finished third.
E Gannon was recently selected for England and Team GB U20s for Discus
N Tullett finished 2nd in the Welsh Senior Championships in the 400m hurdles – She has now qualified for the Welsh National Development Programme.
KS3 Championships – June 2024
Competing at Woking Sports Box, the KS3 Championships is always a popular and tough fixture within our Summer programme. All the teams competed well and gave a great account of themselves, a huge congratulations to the Year 9 girls team which won their overall event, and the
Year 7 girls and Year 9 boys who got second overall. Individual successes:
