all smiles for GCSE Results Day

Delighted GCSE students learned of their results today, with four fifths achieving a ‘strong’ pass of five or better.

The historic ‘gold standard’ of five or more GCSE grades, including English and maths were attained by nine out of ten students, with over half graded 9-7 and 84 per cent were graded 9-5.

Almost half the year group achieved the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), with the average point score (EBacc, APS) of 5.94.

Among the delighted students was the school’s Head of Modern Foreign Languages, Simon Depoix who achieved a 9 in his Mandarin GCSE!

Last week A Level students at the non-selective, co-educational day and boarding school learned that they had excelled with nearly 90% achieving A*-C.
