Woking Young Musician Competition
The aim of the competition is to provide young people, aged 14-20 years, who are selected on the basis of their performance in solo classes in the Woking Music Festival, with an opportunity to compete in concert conditions. Next year's entrants will perform on Saturday 3 February 2024 with entrants being chosen from the winners of the Woking Music Festival to be held in November 2023. This year, our very own E Hallett was awarded the Promising Young Singer Award.

The annual competitive Woking Music Festival, held in November, is a celebration of the musical and literary vitality of Woking and the surrounding area. People of all ages and standards are welcome to perform in front of a sympathetic audience and to receive feedback and encouragement from a professional. MusicFirst Online Composition Competition
This competition allows all musicians to be celebrated and recognised. Whether students are classically trained and play an instrument, talented rappers and singer-songwriters or have a keen ear for mixing sounds to produce unique tracks, MusicFirst give them all a platform to share their talents. National Youth Choir Auditions
The National Youth Choir is a flagship choir and is home to some of the best young singers in the world. They want their choirs to represent the diversity of the UK’s young people and we celebrate every individual from any background. Open to those 18-25, students will have the opportunity to work with and be inspired by world-class musicians and coaches and be part of major national and international events, concerts and festivals, performing at high profile venues including the Royal Albert Hall. Concerto Competition
Students learn a concerto movement to bring to audition in November (accompanied by piano). Christmas Carol Writing Competition
Students are provided with lyrics (or may wish to write their own.) They can present the music as a written score, or submit voice recordings/performances of their ideas. Open to our Year 10-13 students.
Pro Corda Chamber Music Competition
Groups are prepared to perform chamber music pieces by their teachers which they could then perform at the Pro Corda national schools’ Festival. See here for further information: https://procorda.com/take-part/schools/pro-corda-festival/
